Visit of the director of IMO maritime safety division

In response to a recent invitation sent by the Director of the Directorate General of the Maritime Territory and Merchant Marine, Vice Admiral Enrique Larrañaga Martin, on August 29^th, the Director of the Maritime Safety Division of the International Maritime Organization, IMO, Mr. Koji Sekimizu visited the Maritime Instruction and Training Centre, CIMAR.

Mr. Koji Sekimizu of Japan has been elected as the Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), with effect from January 1^st, 2012, for an initial term of four years.

During the visit, CIMAR's Deputy Director, Lieutenant Commander Mr. Cristian Martis showed him the capacities and main activities carried out in CIMAR, which ended with a photograph with the Instruction Centre personnel.
