Women in the Maritime Community

Chile has assumed a strong commitment to maintain its representation in one of the women's associations, dependent on the gender program of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), the Network of Women Maritime Authorities of Latin America (MAMLa Network). Thus, allowing the generation of strategic alliances between maritime authorities to exchange experiences, and cooperation in the integration of women in equal opportunities, visibility and training.

The General Strategy of the National Maritime Administration contemplates lines of work to strengthen the role of women in the maritime sector in order to provide greater visibility and strength to this initiative.
